

Talona Johnson is a global leader possessing an extraordinary ability to develop and lead high performing cross-functional teams. Her experiences across manufacturing, product development, program management and product management bring strategic insight that delivers exceptional business results.
Active at work and in the community, Talona has curated professional-development workshops, facilitated connections between executives and rising employees for the General Motors African Ancestry Network for more than 14 years and raised over $100K for the UNCF Detroit Walk for Education. She has a passion for exposing youth to career paths in engineering and promotes careers in STEM with the Society of Automotive Engineers, Jack and Jill of America Inc. and the Zero Debt College Project.
As a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association(NBMBAA), she serves as the 2025-26 President of the Detroit Chapter and is excited to be a part of the TEDx Pontiac Operations Team. Prior to her role as president of NBMBAA, Johnson has served the Director of Professional Development and Director of the chapter’s Leaders of Tomorrow High School Mentoring Program. These experiences reinforce her belief that leadership is not solely about driving business performance—it is also about cultivating talent, supporting inclusive environments, and building the next generation of innovators.
