Olivia Smith, MSHROD, SHRM-CP is a Human Resources professional with over five years of experience supporting teams across industries including energy and utilities, engineering, manufacturing, and higher education. She currently serves as the Human Resources Generalist for the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan, where she leads initiatives in employee engagement and retention, benefits coordination, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and leadership development.

Before joining WDI, Olivia worked for Corby Energy Services, where she coordinated payroll and HR operations for more than 700 employees across multiple organizations.
Olivia holds a master’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources.

She is a certified professional through the Society for Human Resource Management.
Passionate about volunteerism and advancing the HR community, Olivia currently serves as the President Elect for the Greater Ann Arbor SHRM Board, leading a dedicated volunteer team in fostering connection and continuous learning across the HR community.
